Our region has been described as a “small compendium of the universe” due to the great variety of natural wonders waiting to be discovered! Among the Unesco sites, the ancient Roman colony of Aquileia, the Lombard capital of Cividale del Friuli and the star-shaped town of Palmanova testify to periods of great splendor.

An incredible example of the cultural heritage found in Friuli Venezia Giulia are the medieval villages of Gemona, Venzone and San Daniele del Friuli (also known for its delicious prosciutto), the town of Spilimbergo, famous for its mosaics, and the breathtaking Memorial of Redipuglia, dedicated to the memory of those who fought in the Great War.
